Fuel Assistance
Low-income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) helps to pay for a portion of the cost of your primary source of heat which includes, but is not limited to: Oil, Electricity, Natural Gas, Propane, Kerosene, Wood, Coal, etc.
Massachusetts Good Neighbor Energy Fund, administered by the Salvation Army, is available to any Massachusetts resident who, because of temporary financial difficulty, cannot meet a month's energy expense and is not eligible for state or federal energy assistance. Income must fall between 60 and 80 percent of the state's median income levels
Food Assistance
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is a federal nutrition program that provides monthly funds on a debit-like EBT card to buy food, free education and training opportunities, free nutrition education classes, and other benefits to qualified individuals and families.

Housing
Residential Assistance for Families in Transition (RAFT) helps keep households in stable housing situations when facing eviction, loss of utilities, and other housing emergencies caused by loss of income, increase in expenses, or both.
RAFT helps all kinds of households by providing up to $10,000 per household to help preserve current housing or move to new housing. RAFT can cover utilities, moving costs, and overdue rent costs, as well as future rent in limited situations.
Facing eviction? Legal help and mediation are also available to help low-income tenants and small landlords avoid an eviction.

Veteran Resouces
The Veterans Benefits Administration webpage can help you connect with the VA benefits veterans are entitled to.
The Veterans Employment and Training Service helps veterans find employment, provides off-base transition training, GI Bill information, and other employment assistance.
Massachusetts Executive Office of Veterans' Services (EOVS) provides our veterans and their families with quality support services and directs an emergency financial assistance program for those veterans and their dependents who are in need.
Statewide Advocacy for Veterans' Empowerment (SAVE) Program is a peer outreach program that connects veterans with peers to help them access benefits, services, and supports, and support their overall mental health.
Senior Resouces
The Senior Circuit Breaker Tax Credit is a refundable credit based on the actual real estate taxes or rent paid on the Massachusetts residential property you own or rent and occupy as your principal residence.
The maximum credit amount for tax year 2023 is $2,590.
